My hair isn't so short anymore, but this picture shows where much of my heart is. We have been blessed with a son who has disabilities, and because of that I was heavily involved with Easter Seals for several years before starting to work at Christian Life Academy.
My husband and I married in July of 2003, can my future math students tell me how long that has been? Without a calculator or counting fingers?! I hope so, if not we will work on that. We were blessed with our son Luke in December of 2009 and our daughter Faith in November of 2009. I've spent 7 years as a stay at home mom and learning how to be a Special Needs mom as well. Before Luke came along, I taught for four years at Washington Central Grade School District 51 in Washington, IL. I taught several subjects including 6th grade Science, 6th grade Mathematics, 7th grade Science, 7th Grade Mathematics, and 8th grade Mathematics. God brought me to CLA when I least expected it. He has blessed me beyond measure with all the students I have taught. My favorite part of teaching at CLA is that I can share my faith as I teach Science, History and Math. I love seeing the growth of my students both academically and spiritually. |
